The International Research Training Group GRK2662 has been approved for a second funding period by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) – German Research Foundation. This decision follows a successful renewal application and review process completed over the summer and represents an important milestone for the GRK2662. The continued funding provides a great foundation and perspective for our doctoral researchers and the third cohort of doctoral students, which is yet to start.

The upcoming funding period will include a comprehensive academic program including lecture series, key skills seminars, annual meetings and research exchanges. The next joint annual meeting with the Canadian partner institutions is currently planned for 2026 in Vancouver. The continued funding will thus further enable high-quality research on polyelectrolytes and their interactions with biological systems.
